Mini D's Journey

Mini D's Journey
Thursday, September 3, 2015
Read post
These are the Dr milestones that we experienced with Mini D and his journey from time of conception:

10/13/2014: LMP a/k/a last menstrual period.

12/17/2014: 9 week Dr appointment and 1st U/S. Dr confirmed there was a sweet pea growing and we heard heartbeat for the first time. Everything on track.

1/07/2015: 12 week Dr appointment. Heard heartbeat. Everything on track.

2/9/2015: 17 week Dr appointment. Heard heartbeat. Everything on track.

3/9/2015: 21 week Dr appointment and 2nd U/S. We found out baby is a BOY! All baby parts looked great and the Dr told me I was measuring about a week and a half ahead.

4/6/2015: 25 week Dr appointment. Heard heartbeat. Everything on track.

5/1/2015: 28 week (almost 29 week) Dr appointment. Completed 1 hour glucose tolerance test. Found out the next week that I passed. Yay! So happy that I didn't have to worry about the 3 hour test with moving to Vegas.

5/26/2015: 32 week Dr appointment with new Dr at our new clinic. Heard heartbeat. Everything on track.

6/9/2015: 34 week Dr appointment. Heard heartbeat. Scheduled the c-section for week 39 on July 14th. Everything on track. Dr said his head is down there.

6/23/2015: 36 week Dr appointment. Completed Group B Strep Test. Also I was checked and only about a half a finger progress had been made. Everything on track. Dr said his head is still down there.

6/30/2015: 37 week Dr appointment. Group B Strep Test came back positive, but because I am having a c-section it won't really matter unless I go into actual labor. Since I am not having a vaginal birth, my Dr didn't check me. I'm still having braxton hicks contractions, but not anymore frequently then before. Heard heartbeat. Everything on track.

7/8/2015: 38 week Dr appointment. I was checked and dilated to 1 and a 1/2. Heard heartbeat and everything is on track. Dr said his head is still down there.

7/14/2015: Griffin James was born!

Check back soon for his birth story.

I had another Dr appointment this week and everything went great. It was actually my last one before the scheduled c-section. We also had to bring Moo Moo to the vet. She had an infection in her anal gland. It was not very good timing with everything going on, but we got it figured out and she is much better.

(39 weeks)

My parents came this week and we ran some last minute errands before the scheduled c-section on 7-14. The below picture is the morning of and my last weekly bump picture for this baby.

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: Yes. All day. Everyday.

Sleep: I wake up about every hour to pee and when I do I have to switch sides otherwise I get pains in whatever side I have been on for too long.

Best Moment of the Week: My parents came to Vegas on Sunday, July 12th. My Dad will be here for 10 days and my Mom will be here for 3 weeks.

Movement: Yes! Everyday.

Food Craving: Ding Dongs are the one thing that I have been craving and Kit Kats.
Food Aversions: Sometimes I smell things that don't agree with me, but not too often.

Morning Sickness: None. Overall, I am feeling pretty good other than aches and pains and feeling big.

Gender: We found out on 3/9 that we are having a BOY!

Symptoms: Nothing too outrageous. Mostly just uncomfortable with aches and pains.

What I miss: Being able to bend over. Not being out of breath after walking or going up stairs. Just being comfortable in general.

What I'm looking forward to: Time with my family here in Vegas. Cherishing these last few weeks/days being pregnant. Working on baby boy's bedroom.

I had another Dr appointment this week and will start going once a week now. Everything was great. We took a hospital tour and I feel SO good about our decision. We also celebrated Hailey's birthday. We went to the movie Inside Out and we all cried. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but the gist of it is that a family relocates from MINNESOTA to the west coast. Almost our exact story and it was kind of depressing. We went home afterwards and had cupcakes.

(37 weeks)

The only picture I got at 37 weeks was in my swimsuit. I was in it a lot since moving to Vegas and especially since we have a pool. My sisters came this week to help out with things and just in case I did go early. Hailey came at 38 weeks, so we tried to be prepared. Also, with it being summer, I was fortunate that they could come for about a month and stay and visit.

I had another Dr appointment and it went well. We celebrated 4th of July going to see fireworks.

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: Yes. All day. Everyday. And maternity swim suits.

Sleep: I wake up about every hour to pee and when I do I have to switch sides otherwise I get pains in whatever side I have been on for too long.

Best Moment of the Week: My sisters came to Vegas on Monday, June 29th. They will be here for almost four weeks.

I had another Dr appointment this week and it went really well. I really like my new Dr. She's easy to talk to and explains things so I actually understand them. When she tells me things, she is confident in what she says which makes me feel confident in her.

We took Hailey to the circus this week and went to an arena football game. We also started Hailey on wearing underwear through the night. We'll see how that goes.

Monday, June 15, 2015
(35 weeks)

We went and took pregnancy photos over the weekend. I will do a slideshow post of some of our favorites soon. We also went to a WWE event here in Vegas and celebrated Father's Day.

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: Yes.

Sleep: Just as I suspected with the 3rd trimester I am uncomfortable again sleeping and my body pillow is not helping anymore. I use regular pillows now to help. I have anywhere from 3-4 pillows. I can adjust better with them and flip from side to side easier with them than with the body pillow. I also am getting up every two hours or less to pee.

Best Moment of the Week: We did maternity/family/Hailey 4 year pics on the 20th. So fun!

Movement: Yes! Everyday all the time.

Food Craving: Fountain cokes.

Food Aversions: Sometimes I smell things that don't agree with me, but not too often.

Morning Sickness: None.

Gender: We found out on 3/9 that we are having a BOY!

Symptoms: Nothing too outrageous. Mostly just uncomfortable and tired. It's not quite an outie. I'm still wearing my right hand ring on my left hand. I feel like I am not swollen with this baby. I remember with Hailey I was so swollen and huge! I wonder if the humidity-free weather has anything to do with that.

What I miss: Being able to bend over. Not being out of breath after walking. The stairs not being such a struggle. Just being comfortable in general.

What I'm looking forward to: We set a date for our c-section. He will be here no later than July 14th! We also are taking a hospital tour next week and I am really excited for that!

I had my first Dr appointment with my new Dr at my new clinic and it went so well. She is so nice, easy to talk to and I really believe she knows her stuff. The staff was also nice and they all made me feel at ease. I go back in 2 weeks!

We went to the iHeart pool Party at Ceasers Palace over the weekend and it was a lot of standing again, but I had so much fun and wouldn't have missed it. I felt like after that night the Braxton Hicks really kicked in and got more intense.

Monday, June 1, 2015
(33 weeks)

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: Yes!

Sleep: I'm starting to get more and more restless and uncomfortable at night. I find myself getting uncomfortable even with my body pillow.

Best Moment of the Week: Dr appointment went very well and I'm very relieved. I also had a ton of fun at the iHeartMedia pool party.

Movement: Yes! Everyday. It's so crazy to see him really move. My whole tummy will get lopsided like it did with Hailey. Sometimes it hurts, but I think it's just because he's so low.

Food Craving: Since getting to Vegas I have wanted Starbucks. Which is weird cause I never really have craved coffee before.

Food Aversions: Sometimes I smell things that don't agree with me, but not too often.

Morning Sickness: None. Overall, I am very thankful that I have felt good thus far.

Gender: We found out on 3/9 that we are having a BOY!

Symptoms: Nothing too outrageous. Just getting bigger each week. My belly button has been flat for awhile. I have a feeling I will have an outie in no time. I took my wedding ring off, but have been wearing my right hand ring on that finger for now. It's bigger and fits better. Even though I haven't put on as much weight as I did with Hailey, I am feeling bigger, but I think it's just because of how low he is. I get such mixed reactions. Some people tell me I look like I'm ready to pop, and others tell me that I don't look that big.

What I miss: Being able to bend over. Not being out of breath so easily. Just being comfortable in general.

What I'm looking forward to: My next Dr appointment on June 9th. We picked a hospital, so now we need to pick a date for the c-section and get it on the calendar! Yay!

This is our first full week living in Las Vegas. We are getting used to the HEAT, unpacking the house, exploring the neighborhood a bit, and finding out the our go to locations for gas, groceries, etc.

We went to a music festival called Rock 'n' Rio (more to come on that). I had to stand quite a bit, which was super uncomfortable, but I made it through and sat down for a bit every once in awhile on the ground. My back started hurting from standing in one place, but I didn't want to leave! It was so fun with some new friends and we got to see Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift.

Monday, May 18, 2015
(31 weeks)

This is pretty much what my wardrobe consists of because of the heat...a maxi dress or shorts/tank top with sandals. P.S. It's hot here in Vegas.

I finally found a Dr. after many stressful phone calls. Yay! Now I just have to pick the hospital we want to deliver at our of our 4 options. I am excited to go tour and see our options.

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: Yes. And the less clothing I have on the better thanks to the Vegas heat.

Sleep: Some nights are better than others, but overall I'm sleeping well.

Best Moment of the Week: Celebrating Mother's Day with my favorites. We went to Buddy V's restaurant in the Venetian hotel on the strip. It was delicious!

I also had tons of fun at Rock 'n' Rio with the Hubby and new friends.

Movement: Yes! Everyday.

Food Craving: Nothing specific, but we have been loving having a Krispy Kreme close.

Food Aversions: Sometimes I smell things that don't agree with me, but not too often.

Morning Sickness: None. I'm still feeling pretty good even with the adjustment to the heat.

Gender: We found out on 3/9 that we are having a BOY!

Symptoms: Nothing too outrageous. Just getting bigger and definitely waddling. My belly button has been flat for awhile. I have a feeling I will have an outie in no time. I also think I will be taking my wedding ring off sooner than later. Even though I haven't put on as much weight as I did with Hailey, I am feeling bigger, but I think it's just because of how low he is. I've been told that from behind I don't look pregnant, so I guess that's one good thing, right?

What I miss: Being able to bend over. Not being out of breath after walking, especially up the stairs in our house. That's definitely been an adjustment. Just being comfortable in general.

What I'm looking forward to: Unpacking and NESTING!!! I haven't really been able to nest or buy anything thus far because of the move. It did feel REALLY good to go through stuff and PURGE, but now I get to organize and nest. Thankfully we do have a lot of the bigger stuff from Hailey, so that's good. We won't have to buy too much of the big stuff, just more smaller things. Continuing to unpack and organize the house. Exploring our new city and surroundings.

We are officially into the 3rd trimester!!!

This is my last week of work and our last full week in Minnesota before the big move.

Hailey had her last dance practice before the recital this weekend. I plan on doing a re-cap on that soon.

(29 weeks)

The only picture I got of the belly this week was a family picture that we used a timer for. It was before Wayne left to go back to Vegas and it was a couple days before we left on our road trip.

This week was quite the adventure with us road tripping for 3 days and MOVING to Las Vegas. I will be doing a full re-cap of that on the blog hopefully soon!

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: Yes.

Sleep: Some nights are better than others, but overall I'm sleeping well.

Best Moment of the Week: My Hubby coming home and surprising me a couple days early from Vegas to help with last minute packing of the house, etc. I missed him so much just after 3 weeks.

Also, spending last minute time with friends and family before heading out.

Movement: Yes! Everyday.

Food Craving: Nothing specific.

Food Aversions: Sometimes I smell things that don't agree with me, but not too often.

Morning Sickness: None. I still feel pretty good. We'll see what the rest of the 3rd trimester has to offer.

Gender: We found out on 3/9 that we are having a BOY!

Symptoms: Nothing too outrageous. Mostly just uncomfortable.

What I miss: Being able to bend over. Not being out of breath after walking. Just being comfortable in general.

What I'm looking forward to: Getting through the road trip to Vegas being in my 3rd trimester. Seeing our rental house in person for the first time. Our belongings arriving at the new house, unpacking and getting settled in.

Wayne left for Vegas this week to start his new job. He will be in Vegas for the next 3 weeks. I will be here in Minnesota, finishing work, packing and purging the house, taking care of Hailey as a single parent and growing a baby.

We had a play date with my BFF Kayla and her son, Dylan. Hailey and Dylan are 1 month apart.

We also had dance pictures this week.

Final week of 2nd trimester!

I had a lunch with some ex-co workers at one of their houses.  They wanted to do a send off brunch for Hailey and I before we left for Vegas. Love these ladies so much!

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: Yes.

Sleep: Some nights are better than others, but overall I'm sleeping well.

Best Moment of the Week: Spending time with friends.

Movement: Yes! Everyday.

Food Craving: Nothing outrageous.

Food Aversions: Sometimes I smell things that don't agree with me, but not too often.

Morning Sickness: None. I have felt pretty good in the second trimester. I know it's going to get tough in the 3rd trimester though like it did with Hailey.

Gender: We found out on 3/9 that we are having a BOY!

Symptoms: Nothing too outrageous. I have had some insomnia.

What I miss: Being able to bend over. Not being out of breath after walking. Just being comfortable in general.

What I'm looking forward to: Continuing to pack and purge the house. My last day at my job. Seeing my Hubby again as he's been gone for 3 weeks. There is a lot to look forward to in the coming months.

I had a Dr appointment today and it's my birthday week! It was Wayne's last week at KDWB as we prepare to relocate to Las Vegas!

Brantley was baptized and I am so honored to be his Godmother.

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: Yes.

Sleep: Some nights are better than others, but overall I'm sleeping well.

Best Moment of the Week: Spending time with family and my birthday!

Movement: Yes! Everyday.

Food Craving: Nothing outrageous, just depends on the day.

Food Aversions: Sometimes I smell things that don't agree with me, but not too often.

Morning Sickness: None.

Gender: We found out on 3/9 that we are having a BOY!

Symptoms: I have had some acne breakouts with this pregnancy, but other than the normal tiredness and being achy, I am feeling pretty good.

What I miss: Bending over without being uncomfortable. Not being out of breath after walking. Just small things.

What I'm looking forward to: Continued movement in my belly and feeling well in the 2nd trimester. I officially gave my notice at work and will be done at the end of April. Even though I am sad to leave my job and awesome boss and co-workers, I am looking forward to having some time off and not working.

St. Patrick's Day this week. Hailey got strep. So not fun.

I got Hailey this book this week. She loved it.

I also bought baby boy his first onesie. I haven't bought really anything for him yet. We have a lot of the big stuff still, it's mostly going to be clothes that he needs. I think I'm still in a bit of denial that we are having a boy, too.

We went to Amie's speech presentation this week at the high school.

We went to Las Vegas this week for Wayne's work. It was fun and we ate so good! The time difference threw me for a loop, but other than that. It was a great trip.

We announced to the world that we are relocating to Las Vegas for Wayne's career. He will leave mid-April and we will follow beginning of May. Big changes coming to the Danielson household.

We also went to the Circus at the MN State Fairgrounds the Saturday after we got back.

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: Yes.

Sleep: Some nights are better than others, but overall I'm sleeping well.

Best Moment of the Week: We took a trip to Vegas for Wayne's work and we ate really good the whole time.

Movement: Yes! Everyday.

Food Craving: Nothing outrageous. Mostly meat.

What I miss: Not being uncomfortable while bending over. Tying my boots or tennis shoes. Not being out of breath after walking. Just small things.

What I'm looking forward to: Continued movement in my belly and feeling well in the 2nd trimester.

We are officially at the half way point and I didn't even take any pictures this week to document it.

Shame on me!

I had dinner with some friends this week and we attended our ex neighbor's daughter's Bah Mitzvah celebration.

I had so much fun eating and Hailey had a blast dancing! The theme was "Under the Sea." Hence the blue dresses.

Monday, March 9, 2015
(21 weeks)

Hailey had picture day at school this week, which entailed me trying to find a suitable outfit. We had a swarm game and then a WWE wrestling event.

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: I am wearing maternity clothes exclusively. There are a few regular shirts that I can still cram into, but for the most part it's all maternity. In addition to a few things from Target, I picked up a few items at Motherhood Maternity.

Sleep: I am still sleeping good thanks to my body pillow.

Best Moment of the Week: Wayne being able to feel the baby now through my stomach.

Movement: Yes! Everyday.

Food Craving: Nothing outrageous...fruit, meat and salty things.

Food Aversions: Sometimes I smell things that don't agree with me, but not too often.

Morning Sickness: None. I'm just really hungry and have to eat.

Gender: We had our Dr appointment and ultrasound today (3-9-15) and found out we are having a BOY! See HERE.

Symptoms: I have had heartburn a couple times, which I took tums for. I have had a few charlie horses, but other than the normal tiredness and being achy, I am feeling pretty good.

What I miss: Not being uncomfortable while bending over. Tying my boots or tennis shoes. Not being out of breath after walking. Just small things.

What I'm looking forward to: Our BIG Dr appointment that was this week where we find out gender! Sharing our gender news with family and friends.

Monday, February 23, 2015
(19 weeks)

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: Yes. I still have a few shirts I can fit into, but it's mostly exclusively maternity clothes. I have bought a few new shirts from Target. I seriously love their stuff!

Sleep: I am sleeping good thanks to my pillow. I cannot lay flat anymore. I feel like I can't breath. I need to be elevated.

Best Moment of the Week: Really feeling the baby move.

Movement: Yes!

Food Craving: Nothing too extreme. One day I woke up and had wanted tater tot hotdish for dinner and then as the day went on I wanted french toast. So I stopped at the store and got everything for French Toast and had that for dinner. It's hard to plan for dinner. It's usually a last minute thing depending on what I'm craving at the time.

Food Aversions: Sometimes I smell things that don't agree with me, but not too much.

Morning Sickness: I did throw up one morning last week, but I don't think it was just the baby. We had the stomach flu in our house the week before and earlier in the week, so I think it just hit me at the right time.

Gender: Unknown, but we will hopefully be finding out at our 3/9 appointment!

Symptoms: I have had heartburn a couple times, which I took tums for. Other than the normal tiredness and being achy, I am feeling pretty good.

What I miss: Not being so uncomfortable while bending over. Tying my winter boots or tennis shoes. Not being out of breath after walking. Just small things.

What I'm looking forward to: Our BIG Dr appointment on 3/9!

I was supposed to have my Dr appointment last Wednesday, but had to reschedule to today. Everything was great and we heard the heartbeat again. It was normal at 160.

Saturday, February 14, 2015
(17 weeks, 5 days)

We celebrated Valentine's Day. We went to dinner and a movie and we were both so tired, but made it.

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: Yes! I am pretty much wearing nothing but maternity clothes. I still have a few shirts that I can fit into, but it's mostly all maternity stuff.

Sleep: I have continued to sleep pretty well with the continued assistance of the pillow.

Best Moment of the Week: Dr appointment as always.

Movement: None yet.

Food Craving: Not too many things. I get something specific in my head or something from a certain place and then decide that's what I want. One night I wanted a burger, so I made homemade burgers. It was delicious.

Food Aversions: I've started having some aversions to some smelly foods, but that's pretty much it so far.

Morning Sickness: None.

Gender: Unknown, but we set our next Dr appointment for 3/9 (21 weeks) and that will be the big ultrasound where we hopefully find out if it's a boy or girl. Also, fingers crossed for a healthy baby!

Symptoms: I've been feeling pretty good. Mostly just tired still. I have noticed that I get out of breath faster and that bending over is getting harder. I feel like these things are occurring sooner than they did with Hailey, but I also think I am bigger now than I was with her. I also do not have the "glowing" skin that is supposed to come with pregnancy. I have had various breakouts on my face, which is really abnormal for me normally, so getting them while pregnant has been frustrating.

What I miss: Not too much. I haven't been as strict with coffee/caffeine as I was with Hailey. Don't get me wrong, I still limit it, but I am allowing myself to have it when I want it.

What I'm looking forward to: Our 21 week Dr appointment on 3/9.

This week we had my work holiday party. I had told my 2 bosses, the HR lady and the other girl I work super close with last week, but this week it got out to everyone at the party. It was fun again to have more Congratulations and happiness directed our way.

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: Oh yes! Each week I go through my maternity bin and slowly pull things out and add them in. I finally pulled out my full panel work pants and started wearing those exclusively.

Sleep: I am sleeping pretty good still thanks to my pillow.

Best Moment of the Week: We announced our fun news this week to the world and shared it with my work people!

Movement: None yet.

Food Craving: This week it's been cashew chicken with fried rice from the Chinese place up the street.

Food Aversions: None.

Morning Sickness: None.

Gender: Unknown, but we will be finding out.

Symptoms: I've pretty much been the same so far. Just get tired faster.

What I miss: Not too much. So far so good.

What I'm looking forward to: Our next Dr appointment at 16 weeks.

NEW YEARS EVE

Since we couldn't go out and party it up this year, Wayne planned a little over night trip up north to Grand Casino Mille Lacs to see the country band Parmalee. We ate the buffet (ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAB LEGS? - YES PLEASE!!), gambled a little and then pretty much hung out in our hotel room and got some good sleep after the concert. Wayne was still pretty sick and I was pregnant and still tired, so it was nice to relax and sleep without having to worry about our child. It was so nice to get away even for a night. We even got to meet the band!

(12 weeks, 2 days)

We had our 12 week Dr appointment today and got to hear the heartbeat. Yay! I was so relieved from the last appointment three weeks back. It's always comforting to hear that heartbeat and be reassured that everything is on the right track. Now we will start going every 4 weeks.

(13 weeks)

I had been having some trouble getting comfortable and sleeping, so I ordered myself one of those pregnancy pillows to see if they really work. Well friends, let me tell you, it's FABULOUS!! Since I have gotten it, I have slept so much better!! This is the pillow (my extra pillow) compared to a regular pillow (Wayne's extra pillow).

VEGAS TRIP

So again, Wayne surprised me with another trip. This time out of state to Las Vegas!! It was a Christmas present to me. We flew out there early Saturday AM and then flew back on Sunday. He voice tracks a country station there and so his friends/co-workers helped him plan it all and get everything lined up. We flew out there to see Eric Church (one of my fave country artists) in concert at the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan. I plan on doing more of a full re-cap at soon, but here is a picture of us waiting at the Meet N Greet:

UPDATE:
Maternity Clothes: I am pretty much wearing the belly bands exclusively now. If it's one thing I learned from being pregnant the first time, it's that maternity clothes are SUPER comfy. I had put it off for so long the first time, I told myself that I wasn't going to do that this time around. It's not worth trying to squeeze into pants or something and be uncomfortable all day. Thankfully I kept a bin of my maternity clothes from Hailey and pulled those out. I don't want to be uncomfortable at all.

Sleep: I have started to feel better overall and am mostly sleeping fine thanks to my new pillow. I’ve also still been taking long naps on the weekends to catch up on sleep.

Best Moment of the Week: Our Dr appointment. Hearing the heartbeat is the best and puts my mind at ease.

Movement: None yet.

Food Craving: Still salty things like chips. Also, crackers and cheese as a go to snack.

Food Aversions: Nothing really
Morning Sickness: None.

Gender:  Unknown, but we will be finding out.

Symptoms: Nothing too extreme. Starting to get some energy back. Sometimes I don't even feel pregnant other than a growing belly and being sleepy.

What I miss: Not too much. I guess being able to have a glass of wine or a beer at dinner or at a family/friend function is really the only thing and that's so small and petty.

What I'm looking forward to: We plan on sharing our good news with the world next week at 14 weeks! I haven't told many people. Wayne has told a lot more people than I have. He can't keep his mouth shut. We've recently had a few friends/acquaintances that have gone through rough times with their pregnancy's and have given birth at 20-22 weeks and have lost the baby in the end. It's so emotional and my heart breaks every time I think about it. I have to say it's really freaked Wayne out too. We want to try and be respectful of others feelings, but also want to be excited and share our news as well. I know that whatever God has planned is what's right for our family and if we are chosen to go through something like that, we will get through it and face it together as a family.

On a lighter note, I plan on telling my bosses and co-workers as well. It will be such a relief to not have to hide it any longer. It's getting harder to hide my growing belly and I am running out of "normal" clothes to wear that somewhat hide the bump.

Today we had our first real Dr appointment in the morning and then an ultrasound in the afternoon, so I ended up taking the day off of work. We brought Hailey with us that day, too. She loved seeing the baby on the monitor and hearing the heartbeat. It gave me such relief to see and hear the little nugget.

10 weeks

I was still having many of the same symptoms. Still tired. Still hungry. We had planned a way of telling our families. I had purchased a shirt for Hailey from Etsy and then we took a picture of her in the shirt with the ultrasound picture and put it in a frame. Green Gramma, Wayne's Mom and my Dad each opened it as one of their "gifts." It was so fun to see their reactions. It took a second for it to register and for them to actually read what was on the shirt, but after it sunk in then everyone was cheering and crying. It was a pretty special Christmas.

We didn't tell our extended families yet, because we were only 10 weeks. We just told our more immediate families. When I told my Gramma over the phone a couple weeks later on her birthday (1-8-15), she said she figured something like that because of what I was wearing at Christmas...leggings and a tunic. She knew before I told her with Hailey, too. How do Grandma's just know these things?

It was a great holiday surprising them in such a fun way!

UPDATE:

Maternity Clothes: I have seemed to pop out quicker with this one than I did before, which I heard is normal. I also am hungrier and eating more, too, which is contributing as well right now to my initial weight gain I think. I have started wearing the belly bands with a few of my pants, which I didn't do with Hailey until week 14 or so.

Sleep: I am still tired, but I don't think I am as exhausted as weeks 4-8. During the week is a lot tougher. I think that by the time I work all day, get Hailey from school and then get her home and do dinner, bath and bedtime, I am so done for the day. I still take naps on the weekends to catch up on my sleep.

Best Moment of the Week: First it was ultrasound day. We saw the baby and heard the heartbeat. Hailey was with us at that appointment, too, so it was extra special for her to see/hear and be involved.

My second favorite moment was sharing the news with our families over Christmas week,

Movement: None yet.

Food Craving: More salty than anything else. Give me a bag of chips and I'm good to go. I have also wanted meat, like a good juicy steak sounds great!

Food Aversions: It's hard sometimes to know what I want to eat or know what I am hungry for. Sometimes nothing sounds good, but I know I have to eat something.

Morning Sickness: I have not had any thus far. Although I had a horrible cold/sinus thing that I couldn't really take anything for and it sucked so bad!!  I was so miserable for about a week!

Gender: Unknown, but we will be finding out.

Symptoms: Having the ultrasound was great, because other than being tired, I haven't had too many symptoms and often times do not feel like I am even pregnant. I am also more sensitive and feel like I cry way easier.

What I miss: Not being so tired and actually having energy to do things.

What I'm looking forward to: My next Dr appointment during week 12 (1/7/15).
