2019 Goals

Once again, I am setting some goals for not only myself, but our family as well. These are things I want to work on this year. I say Goals, but I don't want to beat myself up either if I don't complete these or make these goals every week or month.

FAMILY
Go on a family vacation
Go to MN at least once this year
Go on family walks 3 times per week (take the dogs)

FITNESS & HEALTH
Work out at least 3 times a week (elliptical/weights)
Make better food/drink choices
Meal prep more foods on the weekends for the week

PERSONAL
Work on my fitness (see above)
Blog at least 3 times a week
Make more time for my girlfriends and cultivate those relationships
Have a date night with Husband 2x/month

KIDS
Add more veggies to their diets - try more green smoothies
Continue to read with Hailey and work on her reading skills

MISCELLANEOUS
Find a church in Las Vegas

I am going to try and keep adding to this as the year continues. What sort of goals are you setting for yourself or your family?

I missed all of 2nd quarter. My main goals for April, May and June were packing up our house and life, finishing working, growing a baby and being a Mom, moving across the country/relocating to Las Vegas and getting settled.

Here are my Goals for July 2015!

Have a baby. 

It's not as much a goal, because I don't have a choice. He's coming whether I am ready or not. I just want him to be healthy. Hopefully my recovery will go better this time around and I will be feeling better sooner.

Pregnancy Posts


I have most of them drafted, just adding final touches and hoping to get caught up soon.

Hailey.

I've been trying to enjoy as much time with just Hailey as I can as these last few weeks of her being an only child.

Family.

My family is coming to visit us this month. My sisters are here now and I couldn't be more happy to have them. My parents come mid month and I can't wait to see them after 2 months.

Cooking.

Continue experimenting with recipes. Since living in Vegas and staying home I've tried a few recipes that have been a hit with the family.

January Goal update!

Work out at home.
Start an at home yoga DVD. I am not much of a work out at home type person or a yoga person, but I'm hoping to change both in 2015 and be more OPEN.

FAIL...BIG FAT FAIL. I cannot find, nor have I really looked for the yoga DVD. My goal is to try and find it first and then actually start it. One of the problems is that we need to get our carpets cleaned in our basement BAD, and so right now I dislike being down there.

Organize Photos.

I recently took over 1,000+ photos off my phone and organized them into the appropriate folders, which was a huge anxiety lifter, but now I have to get updated with blogging them, etc. I know I will not get the ole blog here updated with ALL the pictures/updates, but I would like to get started at least. Fingers crossed.

I am organizing pictures and posts for baby updates, so it's not 100% fail, but I didn't get anything actually posted, so it's mostly a FAIL.

30 minutes a day.

Set a goal of at least 30 minutes when I get home each day to get Hailey and I settled, dinner started and other little miscellaneous chores around the house, before I get totally distracted by TV and social media.

This has been accomplished for the most part, but is one thing I want to continue in the future.

Upstairs loft area/crawl space.

Our upstairs is in desperate need of organizing. It's our catch all space and has gotten WAY out of hand. Another space that needs organizing is our crawl space downstairs.

FAIL. I didn't get to this one at all.

Hailey's old clothing.

This goes along with the upstairs area. I've been putting Hailey's old clothes up there for quite sometime and need to get them into bins. I bought the bins, but I just haven't had the time or energy to get this done.

Put Christmas away.

I always dread this part. Partly because it's tedious and partly because I hate that Christmas is over and would love to just keep my tree up all year long. There's nothing like the twinkly lights on the tree at night. I'm hoping to get this done and all put away this coming weekend.

More fruits and veggies.

I have been such a slacker lately on eating my good foods (especially veggies) but, I want and NEED to change that.

Fruits have been successful, but veggies have still been lacking.

Blog.

One of my goals in January is to just blog more. I've been such a slacker since about last June. I was going through several emotional personal issues over the summer, which made me not want to blog at all. I thought I would be back in September and even did THIS post. I was pretty good in October, but then fell off the wagon again. But with the new year, comes new goals right?

Mostly a fail, but still a goal.

Here are my Goals for January 2015!

Work out at home.

Here are my Goals for April 2014!

Meal Planning.

I have started a wee bit, but I really need to start kicking it into high gear and get organized. 
I always start and make some progress and then fall off the bandwagon and let it go.

Stay on top of dishwasher/dishes.

I've gotten so much better about this chore these last couple months, but I need to continue to stick with it and not let it go for more than 2 days. 
This is my most hated chore and my Husband knows this!

Gym time at least 3 times a week.

I've been so good about this the last couple months and got into such a routine. 
I wrote HERE about my favorite Zumba instructor cancelling one of her weekly classes (HUGE BUMMER), but do need to find something new in April to fill that void. 
I've been wanting to try Yoga, but a very beginner yoga since I have never done it. 
Does anyone have any DVD recommendations?

Jillian Michaels DVD.

I bought the 6 week Six-Pack abs video last year and had such high hopes. 
Truth is, I haven't touched it.
I wanna change that.

Drink water.

I've gotten a lot better with this, and have pretty much given up all pop (GASP!) and MOST coffee, but once again I need to kick it into high gear.

Lunch to work.

This is a huge one for me. 
I am not a huge leftover type person, but I am trying to change that. 
It's definitely a work in progress.

Organize this area of the house. 
It's kind of our catch all place. 
We put things up there and then totally forget about it.
I've been wanting to do this for awhile now, so no time like the present.
