Amie came to help with the kids at the end of April while we were in Jamaica. I didn't get many pictures with her. (insert sad face) But on Friday, May 6th, the night she was to leave, we went to Selena Gomez. It was actually a better concert than what I was expecting. So I was pleasantly surprised.

Amie left and we were all very sad. The next night I took Grams to see Jennifer Nettles.

She was amazing!!!!

Wayne stayed home with the kids and I got this picture from him. Love them so much!

We also went swimming a bunch...

Griffin figured out there was water in the dog bowls and wouldn't leave them alone.

Hailey and Daddy had a couple day dates...

And we went to the Billboard Music Awards!!

That's it for May!

What we are eating this week...
I made tacos late last week, so we try and use the rest of the taco meat and make nachos or have a taco salad. Just another way to enjoy tacos!

I also made tater-tot hotdish on Monday and have been eating off of that all week.

We are going out to dinner with a friend at Hard Rock Café to Culinary Drop-Out tonight. It's one of our fave places in Vegas.

I really need to get back on Pinterest and look at some new recipes. I've been in a food rut lately.

What I'm reminiscing about...
Griffin has grown up so much in the last couple months. Especially, with him starting at daycare (we call it school) at the end of July. He is learning some sign language, which has been fun and nice for communicating. I want Griff to be able to communicate better, but I also want him to stay my little guy forever.

Hailey, too, with her starting Kindergarten at the end of August. She is really learning how to spell and read and it just amazes me how fast they pick things up.

It's so bitter-sweet having them grow-up. Now I know how my parents feel about me.

What I'm loving...
The cooler temps coming to Las Vegas. I can finally wear leggings and boots. It finally feels like Fall.

What we've been up to...
It's been a busy one...iHeart Festival at the end of September, Route 91 at the beginning of October, Wayne's last minute eye surgery, Green Gramma staying with us, Weston's birthday party, Griffin's hernia surgery, Keith Urban. Uffda. So busy, but not complaining AT ALL!

What I'm dreading...
It's getting darker earlier and earlier. I don't like it. I dislike Christmas shopping, too. I like giving gifts and watching people open them, but I just don't like the actual activity of going to stores and buying stuff and wrapping them. I usually resort to gift cards and stick them in a card. Call me lazy, that's fine. I LOVE getting gift cards. I know some people hate it, but you know what? It's better than nothing, right?

What I'm working on...
Trying to get my pictures on lock down, off my phone, uploaded to FB. Also, blog posts up.

What I'm excited about...
We are going to Disneyland in mid-November and we couldn't be MORE excited. Wayne is broadcasting live from there for the first weekend of Christmas. We are not telling Hailey until we get there. She is going to freak!!

Any tips or tricks you have for going with a 5 year old and a 16 month old would be wonderful!

Also, we have plans to go home to Minnesota for Christmas. Which we are equally excited for, too!

What I'm watching/reading...
Other than blogs, I am not reading much. I am watching a lot though. It seems like a lot, but I usually have it on in the background while I'm cleaning or cooking dinner or in the middle of the night, too, when I'm up with Griffin.

Secrets and Lies
This Is Us
Chicago Fire
Chicago Med
Chicago PD
How to Get Away with Murder
Ben & Lauren

We also watch WWE in our house and NFL football.

Wayne and I are in the middle of The Ranch on Netflix.

What I'm listening to...
While I'm at work, I listen to iHeart Radio through my computer. Usually 95.5 The Bull. That's usually what I listen to in the car, too. Otherwise, I have the music on and I'm chatting with Hailey after school when I pick her up.

What I'm wearing...
More cold weather pieces. Closed toed shoes, leggings, tunics and boots! I'm in desperate need of some new winter pieces, but we'll see.

What I'm doing this weekend...
As I mentioned, tonight we are meeting a friend for dinner, Thursday night Hailey has a game night at school, Friday evening Griffin has a Halloween party at his school, Wayne scored more premiere tickets to the movie Trolls for Saturday. Him and Hailey went last Saturday morning, but he got passes for this Saturday, so I might take Hailey again this Saturday. We still haven't gotten any pumpkins or Halloween candy to hand out, so we have to get that done at some point, too. I can't believe Halloween is on Monday already and it's almost November.

What I'm looking forward to next month...
November is Disney and Gilmore Girls month!!

What else is new...
Nothing new with me.

Wayne got a left cornea transplant 3 weeks ago. He is still healing with that. It's been rough and painful and he has a long ways to go, but we are trying to take it day by day and week by week.

Griffin had hernia surgery last week and he is all recovered from that. He's had 3 ear infections within the last 2 months, so his pediatrician has referred us to an ENT.

Hailey is great. She is still loving school and her teacher and her friends. I am anxiously waiting for her Kindergarten pictures to come back.

So that's about it for now. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Oh life, how busy are thee.

This will serve as a bit of an update as it's been several months since any sort of a Life Lately post!!
On April 2nd Wayne hosted and we walked the Pancreatic 5k. One of our dear friends, Adam's Dad, was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer a few years back and passed away just last year in 2015 and since then it's always been a cause close to our heart. So we walked in memory of Dave.
It was also Green Gramma's Birthday, so that evening we took her out for a nice dinner.
Steak and Lobster anyone?
On the 6th, Hailey had her Spring Concert at pre-school.
On my birthday, (April 9th), A Thousand Horses was doing an acoustic performance and Meet N Greet with 95.5 The Bull and a few of it's listeners. So I took Hailey, Grams and Griff and we went and met them. One of the band members was extremely sick that day, so we are missing one and they ended up not performing, but they did do a Q&A with us and took pictures. They are such nice guys.
And then that evening we took Hailey (and our friend Derek who was in town visiting from LA) and saw Ellie Goulding at Mandalay Bay. We have met Ellie in the past and she is always so nice. She is also SO talented.
I also got some cool swag for my birthday. Of course I love ANYTHING The Walking Dead and new pajama pants. Woohoo!
On the 10th we went to Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden at The Mirage. This place is so cool. It's like a mini zoo right in the middle of the strip. While it only has Dolphins and Tigers (and a cougar), it was very cool.
On the 23rd Wayne participated in the iHeartMedia 24/7 Comedy Fest.
It was a big name comedy show with Frank Caliendo, Billy Gardell and more.
Wayne on stage making people laugh.
April was the month that Griffin graduated from an infant seat to a convertible car seat.
Auntie Amie also came at the end of April to help with the kids, so Wayne and I could go on our first real vacation together to Jamiaca. More on that one later.
And there's April for ya.
Thanks for reading!!

So it's been awhile!! Happy Friday friends!!! Here are just a few things that I am loving this week and looking forward to!!

Loving this new music from Lady Gaga!!

I also love Ariana Grande's new single.

This right here. She loves her Daddy so much and it just warms my heart.

We went to Adventuredome in Circus Circus this past weekend for the first time. It's comparable to Nickelodeon Universe in Mall of America where they have adult/kid rides and of course food and snacks. Hailey has become a little more brave with rides and she had so much fun. I can't wait until Griffin is a little older to see all the fun they have together.

I'm so excited for fall TV to return. While there are a few shows over the summer that I LOVE, there is nothing quite like FALL TV!!! AND...Nashville is coming back! #Nashies

I know she is a Disney star, but I LOVE Ariana Grande. I also love Jimmy Fallon., so this is a perfect video. I am not going to admit how many times I watched this. LOL.

I want this bomber jacket oh so bad in PLUM! I don't really have a fall/winter jacket for here in Vegas, so maybe that will be my excuse!! Haha. My WANT list is growing though...does anyone know where a money tree is?

We were supposed to go to San Diego for my summer work party, but decided at the last minute not to go. So instead, we will be at home this weekend and watching UFC 203. So excited!!!

Oh yea, football is back baby!!! We bleed purple in our house.

August was a rough month for us in many ways, so I am welcoming September with open arms. Also, it's the start of cooler temps here in Vegas, which is also a plus!

I am looking forward to a few festivals at the end of the month. I'm hoping my friend Katie can come out for the 3 day fest that is Route 91. We were supposed to go last year, but that didn't happen. I'm so excited!!! I think a pair of cowboy boots are in my future!!!

Hope everyone is well and I hope to update soon! Have a great weekend!

It's from Dan + Shay's new album Obsessed, which I LOVE!! It's called "From The Ground Up."

And here's another one because they are just THAT good.

This one is "Obsessed."

Hope everyone has a great week. We are moving at the end of the week/this weekend, we are still in daycare limbo and my sister comes late Friday night!! Woohoo!!!

Back on October 7, 2015, Wayne's life changed forever. Really, all of our lives have changed since that day. There's been a lot of ups and downs since that day and it hasn't been easy; and even though he has been criticized for taking the "easy" way out and opting for surgery, he has also helped and been an inspiration to a lot of people as well.

And to all those judgmental jerks?

Shut up.
We don't care.

It saved his life.
Plain and simple.

It has not only helped him become more healthy, but also given him so much more confidence in his everyday life. It has also given our family a new outlook.

So here is some pictures from surgery day and I plan on blogging his progress since then, too.

I hope you enjoy!

Thank you Dr. Tom and Blossom Bariatrics. From the bottom of my Wifey heart.

Happy Hump Day Friends!!

1. What we're eating this week...

I made spaghetti this week which is always delicious and a staple in our house.

I also found these split boneless chicken breasts with provolone and asparagus inside. I paired those with corn on the cob. Such a yummy and quick dinner, which is exactly what we need.

I am also planning on making these this week:

2. What I'm reminiscing about...

Our time in Jamaica...

My sister visiting and staying with our kids while we were in was so nice to have her around. I miss my family so much.

3. What I'm loving...

My Influenster Vox Box

4. What we've been up to...

Packing. We're moving in less than a month, so we are in pack mode.

5. What I'm dreading...

Moving. I like going through stuff, purging, packing and even unpacking and putting stuff in it's place. I just don't like the actual act of moving.

6. What I'm working on...

Packing. This is my life right now.

7. What I'm excited about...

Getting into this new house and my sister, Kate, coming to visit mid-June, my parents coming to visit at the end of June, Hailey's 5th birthday next month. All fun stuff ahead.

8. What I'm watching/reading...

I've recently started the Real World: Go Big or Go Home. They lived in Downtown Las Vegas, so I'm excited to see what landmarks or hotels they put on the show. It's probably going to take me awhile to get through this season, but we will see. I also want to watch the new season of The Challenge that started at the beginning of May.

9. What I'm listening to...

10. What I'm wearing...

I haven't really gotten anything new lately. So it's been the same old things. Ive been wanting to get a pair of the LulaRoe leggings, but have been dragging my feet. I've joined a few FB sites and still don't know how it all works.

11. What I'm doing this weekend...

My Hubby's friend, Adam, is coming into town this weekend, so while they do boy stuff, I will be doing what else...packing.

12. What I'm looking forward to next month...

See #7.

13. What else is new...

We went to the Billboard Music Awards this past weekend. It was fun!

The only other big thing that is going on in our lives is that Green Gramma moved back down to Arizona to live with her sister. So we no longer have her with us. The last year she has been with us she has been such a big help with the kids and around the house.

We are in between daycare situations for Griffin until my sister comes down June 17th. She will be able to watch Griffin after that point until he starts daycare in July. Until then we are having one of our friends down here help.

I can't believe May is almost over. Hope your week is going well.

These are some of my favorites this week:

My favorite dish this week is THIS one!! Seriously, you won't be able to resist these brussel sprouts!!

I also posted about my fave song at the moment! If you want to see the official music video...go HERE! P.S. The FULL album is now out and I can't wait to listen to the whole thing!!!

I love everything and WANT everything on THIS website! Especially this:

Cause it just AIN'T!

We're about half way done with this series and LOVE it!!! I am a huge Sam Elliott fan and was excited when I found out he plays the Father role on this show. Also, can Ashton Kutcher do no wrong?

Anything else new and exciting on Netflix? Or Hulu that you would recommend?

This so fits my month year.

I love THIS article so so so much!

And THIS one brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it!!

My favorite purchase this week is actually a secret. I purchased our Father's Day gift from me and the kids to my Husband. Yes, people I know it's only mid-May, and I'm way ahead of the game. It's the first time EVER that I'm ahead of the game and I hope he LOVES it!!! I haven't said anything to him and the only other person I've told is Hailey. She's REALLY good at keeping secrets about presents. Like REAL good. The only way he will know that I bought something for him is if he reads this blog post. Haha. Or when it shows up to the house in the mail in a couple weeks. I'll post about it after he opens it. Woohoo!!

And no, Wayne, if you are reading this, you cannot open it early. You have to wait for your special day!!

I am so excited to go to the Billboard Music Awards this weekend!!! I've never been to an awards show, so this is a first! Woohoo! Brit Brit is opening the show!!

We watched this movie last weekend. It was WAY better than what I thought it was going to be. We watched it as a family and even though there is some risk-ay scenes that we had Hailey close her eyes for, she was glued to it and absolutely loved it.

I was so excited to see this yesterday:

Anybody else excited for this revival?

We took Griffin swimming for the first time last weekend. It was warm outside, so we decided to try. He LOVES bath time, but obviously the pool is different. But he LOVED pool time, too!

That's pretty much all for this week! I hope everyone has a great weekend!
