Dear Hailey,

You didn't even know it, but 2 years ago today you changed our lives for the better. I always knew I wanted to be a Mama. But can I just tell you that being YOUR Mama is just the best thing in this whole entire world. You are the most beautiful little girl and you have the personality to match. You are SO funny and already love to entertain a crowd. You are growing and learning everyday and we work so hard to try and shape you into the little girl we know you can be. I love staring at you when you sleep. I really can't get enough of you. Our world literally revolves around you. You make us so proud as your parents and I thank God everyday that he brought you to us. You are truly a blessing in everyone's lives and are loved so very much.

Here is to another happy and healthy year!!

Well, I can't pick just one.



This photo is from my wedding day and I know that is so cliche, but it truly was one of the best days of my life. We were getting ready to leave in the limo. I not only married my best friend, but it was the one day that my friends and family came together and in were in one place at one time. When does that ever happen? It truly was a magical day.



This second photo was from when I was actually meeting Hailey for the first time (24 hours post birth). Even though I was in rough shape and in lots of pain, I was so happy to be finally holding my baby girl.

I've seen this on a friends blog. She usually does it every week and so in an effort to be more "present" on the blog, here are three things about my week.

ONE

I didn't realize how much pink I have in my life at the moment. I mean it IS my favorite color, but really?

Purse, Nails, iPad Mini case and sunglasses. This is my life I guess.

TWO

Green Grandma comes on Sunday....for 2 weeks! She's mostly coming because of Hailey's 2nd birthday on 6/26. We are doing her party on the 29th. Last year for her 1st birthday we actually were in New York and she was there with us at that point, too.

So excited to have here here with us for a visit! I really wish she would move back to Minny!

THREE

So Hailey got bit again at school (daycare). That's 2 days in a row now. 2 DAYS!! She's only there two days a week (usually M's & F's), so for her to get bit, let alone 2 days in a row is just preposterous!! Not to mention that's 3 times in about the last month. I know it's a part of being "toddler," but at what point do you say enough is enough. The hardest part is they can't tell me many details. They are looking into it cause I sent them a stern "Mama Bear" email and are in the process of getting back to me.

Have any other parents out there experienced this with daycare? What did you do or how did you handle it?

Disclaimer: I know it is not May anymore, but I only got half way through the month and want to finish with these topics. 

Day 16 for Thursday, May 16th: Something difficult about your "lot in life" and how you're working to overcome it.

I know this may sound sorta cliche, but I don't think I have a so called "lot in life." Certainly I have had things happen in my life that have changed me or my perspective on life.

A few examples:

My sister, Keli Jo, dieing when I was in 6th grade;

Various other loved ones deaths;

My rocky relationship with my Dad growing up (which is a 1000% better than it has ever been);

The miscarriage I had back in the summer of 2010.

All my experiences have made me who I am today, but I wouldn't say it's my "lot in life." I love my life and feel that I am very lucky and fortunate to have it. I say my prayers every night with Hailey and we talk to God about all our blessings. I wouldn't change it for anything.
