Today was Tony's 10 day follow-up from this post. Short story, he ate rat poisoning, had to have his stomach pumped and be on medication (vitamin K) for 10 days.Wayne brought him back up to the Buffalo vet and they drew his blood. They called us the next day and said that his blood level was lower than what they like to see it, so they recommended him being on the medication for another 10 days and then bringing him in again. Wayne got them to call in the prescription into a vet in New Hope, so we wouldn't have to drive all the way up to Buffalo for the pills.

That evening we had a baby class: Week 4 was about Cesarean Birth, Postpartum Care and we took a tour of the hospital. You can read all about it HERE.

I got up in the morning and attended a bridal shower for Anne's (one of my best friends) sister, Kate. Anne had baby Ms. Ellie Anne 10 days before on 6/15. This is Anne and me the day before Hailey was born.

The bridal shower was here in MN because this is where both Anne & Kate were raised, but Kate & her fiance, Andy, live in CA and that is where the wedding was on August 20th. I was unable to attend with being pregnant and having a newborn, but it went off without a hitch and I wish them both a lifetime of happiness.

That evening I was picked up by my friend/co-worker, Nancy B., and my boss, Nancy M., and we went to see a play, The King & I, that our other friend/coworker, Krista K., choreographed.Overall it was a great night. We had all met for dinner beforehand with our other co-worker/friend Rhonda. Little did I know that Hailey was on her way. They all had an inkling.

I Heart Good Deals

Most of the items below I found at the Woodbury city-wide garage sales that I mention in THIS blog post. There are also a couple of other great finds included at the bottom.

The garage sale day was back on May 12th. They do it every year, so if you are looking for some specific items and even if you're not, it's always a fun time. This year it happened to be about a week and a half before we moved into our house. So needless to say there were several things I was looking for.

Here are the great deals I got from that day.

This is by far the greatest deal of the day. It is a Dyson vacuum that I got for $100.00. The attachment didn't work because of a missing part, but thanks to my Dad, he found the part online for $9 and now everything works on it! Yay!

This was a couch I found. It was pretty inexpensive by couch standards. It's not new by any means, but with 4 dogs I wasn't looking for anything new and fancy.

I also found this coffee table,

and matching side table to go with it for $30.

Since I was also 32 weeks preggo with a baby girl, I was looking for any good baby finds. I bought this Eddie Bauer bouncer for $15.00.

I was so excited for this next find and what I thought at the time was a great deal. It ended up being a bust. I'll explain that later. I got this travel system + 2 bases for $120.00.

The reason it ended up being a bust is because the car seat expires November 1st. I didn't even know they had an expiration date. If I would have know that, I wouldn't have even bothered. Lesson learned. We actually just picked up her new travel system last week and will post pics soon. So far I love it!

Other than some cute baby clothes and onesies, that's about it for the garage sale items. I think I scored pretty good though. I have to give credit to my cousin, Nicole, for her help in finding some great deals for me.

My Mother-in-Law, Kim, found this swing on Craigslist for $30.00. It works perfectly and looks brand new. We have used it a couple times since she has been born. Thanks Mommy Kimmy!

I found this couch at a thrift store for $25. It's in our basement a/k/a Wayne's man room. Again it's not new or fancy, but it's SUPER comfortable and does the job for now.

I also know I have said in previous posts that I will do a house post with pictures, so one of these days (once the house is more put together) I will do it! I promise!

I'm loving our neighbors! We really lucked out and could have ended up with a bunch of uptight crabs, but they are the complete opposite. Totally laid back and they love dogs as much as we do. They recently got a bonfire pit and we went over there a couple weekends ago. It was a great time.

I'm loving this song and looking forward to the KESHA/LMFAO concert next Tuesday. I'm taking my sister, Kate for her 12th birthday present. Her birthday was July 30th, so a little late, but she LOVES Kesha and is so excited!

I'm loving that the MN State Fair starts tomorrow and I have plans to go Friday AND Saturday.

Friday night we are going to this concert:

Can't wait!

I'm loving obsessed with these cookies.

With that said, I'm loving that I'm fitting into my pre-preggo clothes. I must admit, not ALL of them, but definitely MOST of them. Even though I don't have to buy all new clothes, I am still treating myself to a few new items here and there.

And most of all I'm loving this little lady.

Have a good week!
