I Heart Good Deals

Most of the items below I found at the Woodbury city-wide garage sales that I mention in THIS blog post. There are also a couple of other great finds included at the bottom.

The garage sale day was back on May 12th. They do it every year, so if you are looking for some specific items and even if you're not, it's always a fun time. This year it happened to be about a week and a half before we moved into our house. So needless to say there were several things I was looking for.

Here are the great deals I got from that day.

This is by far the greatest deal of the day. It is a Dyson vacuum that I got for $100.00. The attachment didn't work because of a missing part, but thanks to my Dad, he found the part online for $9 and now everything works on it! Yay!

This was a couch I found. It was pretty inexpensive by couch standards. It's not new by any means, but with 4 dogs I wasn't looking for anything new and fancy.

I also found this coffee table,

and matching side table to go with it for $30.

Since I was also 32 weeks preggo with a baby girl, I was looking for any good baby finds. I bought this Eddie Bauer bouncer for $15.00.

I was so excited for this next find and what I thought at the time was a great deal. It ended up being a bust. I'll explain that later. I got this travel system + 2 bases for $120.00.

The reason it ended up being a bust is because the car seat expires November 1st. I didn't even know they had an expiration date. If I would have know that, I wouldn't have even bothered. Lesson learned. We actually just picked up her new travel system last week and will post pics soon. So far I love it!

Other than some cute baby clothes and onesies, that's about it for the garage sale items. I think I scored pretty good though. I have to give credit to my cousin, Nicole, for her help in finding some great deals for me.

My Mother-in-Law, Kim, found this swing on Craigslist for $30.00. It works perfectly and looks brand new. We have used it a couple times since she has been born. Thanks Mommy Kimmy!

I found this couch at a thrift store for $25. It's in our basement a/k/a Wayne's man room. Again it's not new or fancy, but it's SUPER comfortable and does the job for now.

I also know I have said in previous posts that I will do a house post with pictures, so one of these days (once the house is more put together) I will do it! I promise!
