Norwex Update!

If you don't know what Norwex is and want to learn more, read my post HERE!

Here is my Norwex update:

At Shelly's party on 2/20/2012, I ordered a few things. I just received them last week, so I haven't had much time to try out the new things, but this is what I ordered:

Tea Towel Set - olive green

I had gotten the Kitchen Cloth Set (pack of 3) from my party in January and love them, but the Tea Towel set, includes a hand towel AND one kitchen cloth AND they match. Not that I care so much about matching, but I can if I'm having people over.

Photobucket

Dishwashing Liquid

Not only for dishes, but I heard this works great on stains, too. Any kind of stains. Since I just got it, I haven't had time to try it out yet, but I will be doing future posts about Norwex and what new products I like, etc.

Photobucket

Sanira Toilet Brush System

I got one from my party in January for our upstairs bathroom, but I wanted one for the basement bathroom, too.

Photobucket

Laundry Detergent

I got another bag. I got my first one back at the end of November and then just ran out of it in mid-February, so I did purchase some other detergent in the mean-time. But my Hubs told me to always keep an extra bag on hand, so I will probably be getting another one soon for back-up.

It did last me quite a long time. At least I think so.

Photobucket

Silver Care Toothbrush

I got one for me back in November, but finally got one for the Hubs, too. He loves it. At least that's what he tells me. Ha.

Photobucket

Odor Eliminator

I bought this hoping to use it like Febreeze. I haven't used it yet, cause I need to get a spray water bottle since it has to be diluted. I'm probably most excited to use this product.

Photobucket

At Rachel's party on Saturday, I ordered the following:
  • Kitchen Scrub Cloth
  • Dish Cloth
  • Kitchen Cloth Set - 3 pack (yes, another 3 pack)
  • Sportzyme
  • Hand Towel (for the bathroom)
  • Carpet Stain Buster
If you want to go look up any of the products go HERE!

They have a great search tool that you can look up anything!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Yesterday was a busy day, so I didn't get this out, but here is our weekend recap:

Friday, March 16, 2012

After work, Wayne and I decided to go to Red Lobster for dinner. I had been wanting it for a couple weeks, so we went. It was yummy and wonderful and Hailey did great and tried a couple new things.

We pretty much got home in just enough time for Hubs to change and leave for the night. I caught up on some blogs after getting Hailey to sleep and went to bed fairly early because I knew I had  to get up to be at my Mom's friend Rachel's house for a Norwex party! Yay!

Saturday, March 17, 2012

While Hubs worked all day, Hailey and I got up Saturday morning and headed to my Mom's friend, Rachel's house for a Norwex party. If you don't know what Norwex is and want to learn more, read my post HERE! I will be doing an updated Norwex post in the next day or so!

Hailey was spending the night at my parents house (because we were having a date night), so after the Norwex party I dropped her off at my parents house. I then went to Costco and did my weekly shopping, stopped at our fave baker and ordered a birthday cake for next week, and got home and unpacked everything in just enough time for the Hubs to get off work.

Let our date night begin! We went to my fave nail salon and got pedicures. We then had dinner at Crave (West End). We had planned on seeing 21 Jumpstreet, but ended up seeing Safe House.

Photobucket

I'm glad we did, because it was great. Both of us really loved it. We then went home, hung out and went to bed. I wanted to make sure I took advantage of not having to get up, so I wanted to make sure I got some good sleep. And I did. It was wonderful!

Sunday, March 18, 2012

We had planned all week to get up, go pick up Hailey and then head to the Mall of America for a family fun day of shopping. Boy did we have a great day! I got a new GUESS purse, Wayne got a new pair of Oakley sunglasses, Hailey got her ears pierced...AND we got the new IPAD!! It was quite the eventful trip. We spent from about 12:30p - 4:30p walking around. It was long, but fun.

The IPAD is my birthday present this year (a month early). I love that he spoils me!

After we got home, I did some cleaning, TV watching and IPAD playing, while Wayne went over to Adam's house to watch the Walking Dead Season 2 finale. He was disappointed by the finale, but when Season 2 comes out, we are going to watch it again together, since I have to get caught up before season 3.

It was such a great weekend!!! How was yours?

I got mine done on Tuesday night. I was so thankful for the Hubs that he picked up the Babe for me after work, so I could get them done. They were in desperate need of some TLC!

It is Strawberry Smoothie from CND Shellac. It is a little lighter than what I was expecting, but it grew on me and I have gotten so many compliments on it.

I'm also linking up with Mama M for Five Question Friday!

1. Will you run to the store or to pick up a kid looking a mess?

I try not to as best as I can, but sometimes yes, I think you just don't have a choice or the time to get all primped. I always put my hair up though. I think that helps a ton!

2. Do you finish a book if it's boring or you don't like it?

No. There are too many books in the world to waste your time reading something you're not into. Why do that to yourself.

3. Beach or mountain vacations?

Beach. All the way. I will pick the beach over anything any day.

4. What thing/event says "winter will end and spring is right around the corner" to you?

I always think of DST as a transition from winter to spring, but in Minnesota, you never really know for sure.

5. Would you prefer couples or family vacation?

It depends on where we are going and really depends on how I'm feeling. My Hubs and I are trying to plan something just the 2 of us for some time next winter...a cruise or something of the sort, but at some point we would like to take Hailey to Disney World or Disneyland. So I think it just depends.

Go link  up with these lovely ladies and let me know how your week went!

Linking up with Tara for Target Tuesday.

Today I am featuring five kitchen related items that are on my need-list.

Photobucket
I never know where to keep bananas. They are usually just sitting on the counter taking up space and getting in the way. Also, Wayne does not like to keep the apples in the fridge and right now I have them sitting in a bowl on our kitchen table. This would be nice to have for both apples and bananas.

Photobucket

I've always wanted a nice punch bowl and with Hailey's baptism and first birthday coming up, it might be the perfect time to get one.

Photobucket
I've always wanted one of these, too, even though I don't bake very much right now. As Hailey gets older though I can see us baking more often for different occasions.

Photobucket

Right now I do not have anywhere to display my 8 wine glasses. That might change somewhere down the road, but for now this would work great. I'm not sure if this specific one would fit my glasses, but something of this sort would be wonderful.

Photobucket

We have a dark brown (chocolate) colored table. I like the way these look for special occasions. Definitely something different.

Anything on your Target list?

 Friday, March 9, 2012

I went home after work, ate dinner with the Hubs and daughter and then we got caught up on two of our favorite shows: Jersey Shore and Eastbound and Down. Anybody else watch those? I'm not a huge E&D fan, but we started watching it together season 1, so I kept with it and now it's on its final season. It's one of those things that I just want to finish and it's nice having at least a few TV shows with the Hubs that we both enjoy watching.

Hubs left at about 9pm for his Friday night gig and I caught up on some blogs after getting the babe to sleep. I then went to bed because I knew I had a big day of spring "cleaning" planned for Saturday. Oh what fun!

Saturday, March 10, 2012

I received our Merry Maids gift card last week in the mail (from Hailey winning a cutest kid contest) and I am planning on getting a "deep" clean done through them by the end of this month, so even though my house REALLY needs it, I just did my basic cleaning routine, along with organizing and going through things. I woke up and got right into it. I had all the blinds and shades open throughout the house and all the windows open for awhile, too. I can't believe it got up to 66* in Minnesota in March!

I did all the usual vacuuming, dusting, bathroom wipe down, bed sheet washing, etc, but then I went through some of my clothes/shoes and then I did a basic overhaul of Hailey's room. She's officially out of 3-6 month/6 month clothes and growing into 6-9 month/9 month clothes, so I went through her dresser and closet and came up with an over-flowing laundry basket of too small clothes of hers that I need to now organize and pack away. One step at a time, right?

Some things in our house that still need to be done for "spring" cleaning?
  • Merry Maids deep clean;
  • Backyard doggy poo clean-up (on-going);
  • Carpets cleaned;
  • Kitchen deep clean;
  • Vacuum cleaner deep clean;
  • Dog kennels deep clean;
What is your spring cleaning routine?

Late afternoon rolled around and I found a great point to stop, so I took a shower and then a friend texted me to see if I wanted to go see the new Kristen Wiig movie with her and our other friend. I dropped Hailey off at my Mom's and met up with them.

Photobucket

I loved it and cried in a few different parts. I thought it was super realistic and had a great mixture of funny, dramatic and serious parts. It was a great way to end my Saturday.

Sunday, March 11, 2012

We woke up, took showers and went to brunch (just the three of us) at a local place by our house. When we got home Hailey went down for a nap, as did I, and Hubs bummed around in his man cave for a couple hours. When we woke up, we finished the last three episodes of season one of The Walking Dead. Now I just have to wait for season two to come out and get caught up on that before season 3 starts in the fall. My Hubs is so into the show and wanted me to be, too, so I thought I would give it a try and I actually really like it. Anybody else watch it?

After finishing up with that, we folded AND put away about 4 loads of laundry and then I ended the night catching up on Revenge and going through the Sunday paper. I had about 6 episodes in my DVR and got through 4. Woohoo! I love that show!!

Photobucket

Overall it was a great and more importantly a productive weekend.

Happy Monday!

What did you do this weekend?

1. Are you looking forward to the time change this weekend?

No. I like my sleep and am always screwed up for about a week. I didn't notice anything different with Hailey in the fall when we gained an hour, but this is our first DLS time to lose an hour. So we will see how it goes.

2. Are you getting the new iPad/would you want a iPad?

We do not currently have an iPad, but have talked about it in the past. We just got a new desktop in December for Xmas and then we just purchased a new laptop in mid February, because ours died. Both are PC's. We don't have anything against Macs at all. Both the Hubs and I have iPhones and LOVE them. We are thinking that once Hailey starts getting into cartoons/movies that it would be a smart purchase.

3. If money was not a problem, what is the one thing you would splurge on?

A new house. We are currently renting and "waiting" for the right time to buy. But that's all I really want right now is my own house.

4. How did you and the Mr. (or Mrs.) meet?

Read THIS.

5. Summer is right around the corner. Bikini or one-piece?

I am now a one piece (or a two piece that covers up my tummy) kind of gal. While I am fitting into most of my pre-baby clothes, I do not have a pre-baby tummy anymore. Not sure I ever will again and I am ok with that.

Friday, 03.02.2012

Friday night I ran a few errands (Michaels and Target) before going home.

I then went home, ate dinner with the Hubs and hung out with Hailey. Hubs left at 9pm like usual and by that time Hailey was down for the night, too, so I surfed the net for awhile, before heading to bed rather early. It was a normal (low key) Friday night for me.

Saturday, 03.03.2012

I packed up Hailey, dropped her of at my parents house and then went to Amanda and Greg's house for the maternity photo shoot. Amanda is 38 weeks pregnant, so it was really fun. I did their engagement photos in the fall of 2010, their wedding in June 2011 and now they are expecting a little boy in a couple weeks. Once I get the pictures edited, I will do a separate post about that. It was fun though and I had a great time.

I then stopped at Target again to grab a few things I had missed the night before and then went and hung out with my family at my parents house. We watched Crazy, Stupid Love.

Photobucket

Hubby took me to it when it first came out, but my Mom and sister had not seen it yet What?! I couldn't believe it, so we watched it. Plus, who doesn't love Ryan Gosling??

I strategically plan that Hailey and I head home at bedtime, always making sure she is fed beforehand. She falls asleep in the car on the way home, I transfer her gracefully to her crib and then she is was out for the night. I knew Lindsay Lohan was on SNL, so I planted myself in bed, but I was so beat from the day, I only made it about halfway. I did see The Real Housewives of Disney. Seriously so HILARIOUS!! Go watch! I ended up watching the rest of SNL Sunday afternoon, but it really wasn't great. Don't get me wrong, I like LiLo and probably am the only person on this planet that does, but the skits were disappointing.

Sunday, 03.04.2012

This morning I met a couple for breakfast that is interested in me photographing their wedding in December. It was a great meeting and they are such a cute couple! Yay for new clients!

I then stopped at the mall on my way home to exchange a super cute, new pair of black boots to a larger size. Can't wait to wear them and show them off. I also got a red pair of peep-toe pumps that I will have to share as well. I love shopping!

Wayne had went out to breakfast with our friend Adam and played video games in the basement like boys do. Anyone else's significant other like video games? I took a nap while Hailey napped. I couldn't even keep my eyes open.

Then we ate dinner and Husband was bound and determined to get me hooked on The Walking Dead. It is currently in the middle of season 2 and he has seen all episodes, so I am playing catch-up.

Anybody watch it?

Photobucket

Well, 3 episodes in and I'm hooked.

That pretty much consisted of our Sunday night, but it was rather lovely hanging out with him.

Overall, I had a great weekend! How was yours?

February was busy, but great!

Saturday, February 4, 2012

This morning we had a Baptism Class at our church. Everyone that wishes to have their child baptized at our church is required to take this class. Wayne usually works Saturday mornings, but he got the clearance to go in late, so we could both attend.

Hailey's baptism is set for Sunday, April 22nd. Yay!

Sunday, February 5, 2012

Tonight we hosted a Superbowl Party! I think in future years if it is a team that I really like or a game I actually want to watch then we won't be having a party. I always forget how much work it is. A LOT, and we didn't even have that many people over. I had spent the day cleaning my house and making food.

Photobucket

I made burgers with all the fixings, taco salad, BQQ meatballs, chip dip/chips and then a chocolate fondue for desert. Our friends also brought some desserts with too, that were super yummy.

Thankfully my parents were there to help all day, but it's still draining. I was sad that I didn't get to watch much of the game or the commercials, but the Giants won, so that's all I ultimately cared about.

Photobucket

I am a Giants fan, but bigger yet, I am an Eli Manning fan. I love the Manning brothers!

Saturday, February 11, 2012

This afternoon we went to my friend, Laura's, house for Ben's 1st birthday party. It's always fun to see all their family and friends that we have gotten to know over the years. They are all so fun and nice. Hailey, my sister, Amie, and I went. It was fun to see Ben eat and play with his cupcake. They were delicious!

Photobucket

It made me start excited and got me thinking about Hailey's 1st birthday party. I know, it's not until June, but it's still fun.

All the kids on the couch for a picture.

Photobucket

Photobucket

We then came home and watched Breaking Dawn - Part 1. It had just come out on video the day before and we love it!

Saturday, February 18, 2012

Hailey and I went out to dinner with my friend Katie and Falen. We ate dinner at Big Bowl and then walked around the mall and shopped a little.

Monday, February 20, 2012

Tonight I went to my Mom's friend, Shelly's, house for another Norwex Party. It was my 3rd one. You can read all about that HERE.

I'm going to link up with Tara over at Fabulous But Evil for her Friday Nail Files link-up. I actually got these done last Friday night, but was way too busy that evening to blog about it or link-up. I was at Myth Nightclub seeing DJ Pauly D. Ha!

I've been wanting to get my nails done for so long, but was putting it off. This picture is from last  Saturday morning. I love gel nails/nail polish because it makes your nails look so good and lasts so long. Even now a week later, they still look good.

Photobucket

These are fake, gel nails. I get them done at my fave salon. I also get them shorter than most because I type a lot.

The color is Red Baroness from CND Shellac. At first I thought it might be too dark, but it's actually perfect. I usually like reds and pinks, but I might try something different next time. We'll see if I chicken out.

Photobucket

I'm hoping not to have to get a fill or new polish for another 2 weeks. That would be a total of 3 weeks and I'm not sure if it last, but we'll see!
