Today is my Dad's birthday. We had dinner at Birdtown in Robbinsdale. They have great food, are affordable and so family friendly. We all love it. Even little miss H as you can see loves her grilled cheese and french fries. Oh the simple pleasures in life.

We took Hailey to visit Santa. I thought she was going to be OK, with no tears.

Wrong. There were tears. My favorite is the picture in the middle. Sheer panic. Am I horrible for laughing?

Moving Day 2

We just had to move a few more things from the old house to the new and just did some cleaning at the old place. It was a very long two days, but we were excited about our new home. The first thing I did was put up our Christmas tree. It was starting to feel more like home as soon as it was up.

We did Christmas with just my immediate family. We had a spaghetti dinner, opened presents, then had desert. It took awhile for Hailey to get into the gift opening.

Santa was going to be at Birdtown that evening, so we decided to have dinner there and see if Hailey's second experience with Santa would be different than her first. It was. She didn't cry, but was still VERY nervous.

Wayne had to work the morning of Christmas Eve, so after he got home at about noon, we headed out to my hometown, Clara City, for Christmas with my Mom's side. We went to church, had dinner at my Aunt's house with the whole fam and then drove home late that night. It was so great to spend time with my Grandma who I don't get to see all that much.

Since we got home so late the night before, we took our time getting ready. We headed over to Wayne's side family Christmas. We usually always spend Christmas Day with his Mom and family. We ate delicious food, opened presents and had lots of laughs.

New Years Eve. I worked for part of the day and then I decided to go with Wayne to Babe's that night, so we went and had dinner at my parents house. They always do a surf n turf meal. So yummy!! Hailey stayed with them over night, and I went with the Hubby and met up with Beth & Josh. It was a low-key night, but super fun to catch up with a couple of my favorites!

The Drankas were in town for a wedding, so we got together with them at the EP Mall and let Ellie and Hailey play and then we all grabbed a bite to eat at the food court.

I love when they are visiting Minnesota and we can find time to get together.

I invited my friends Jenny, Katie and Laura to come with me this year to So You Think You Can Dance. It was at a smaller theater this year, which was more fun and intimate.

My favortie of the season was Tiffany. She was the runner-up.

Eliana won, which I was ok with.

We met for dinner beforehand and then went to the show. I love that my friends watch some of the same shows I do and we can chat about it. I had so much fun!

Today was our annual Stager Family Christmas. There were a lot that couldn't make it this year, which always makes me sad, but we still had fun!

Today was our 6 year wedding anniversary. I always think that I can't fall anymore in love with him, but it never fails. My love for him has only grown stronger and deeper over the years together.

Phillip Phillips from American Idol came into the KDWB Skyroom today. I haven't watched Idol im years, since Simon left and they started changing the judges, but I do love Phillip's voice and was so excited to see him and meet him in person.

I went to see the Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere at West End in St. Louis Park with my cousin Nicole and LOVED it. It was such a great ending to the series!!

We are usually at my parents house and eat at noon and then make krumkake in the afternoon. It's our yearly tradition. My aunt Laurie always makes the batter and then we have our two oven going and two rollers. It's a lot of work, but so fun! Hailey tasted it this year for the first time and loved it.

 

After, we're done with that, we usually stop at Wayne's Mom's house and eat with them for dinner. We always end the night at home and so full from all the yummy foods.

September was the start of fall for us which always means things slow down. I, for one, was looking forward to things slowing down a bit.

My sister Amie, joined Trajectories at school and was in a short play. So Kate and I went to watch and support her.

The short play was based off the Hunger Games. It was a funny twist on the book and Amie did such a great job.

I had my cousin, Tara's bachelorette party this night. I had so much fun and drank a wee bit (too much).

We started out at friend's house with apps and games.

This is me with Tara's older sister, Nicole, who is also getting married in April. I am a bridesmaid in her wedding and am so excited!

After some fun at the house, we went out to dinner at Cocina Del Barrio.

We headed downtown and played Jenga at Pourhouse.

I went with my friend Falen to a painting class. I had never done something like this before and I really enjoyed it a lot.

We were going to paint 2 canvases. These were the examples that they had displayed on the wall.

What was fun is that it was at a little coffee shop in Burnsville that also served wine and food. So not only was it fun painting with friends and trying something new,but we had great food and wine with it. I would definitely do something like that again.

Today we had Tara's bridal shower. It was some of the same girls from the bach party, along with other friends and family members. We broke into groups and made veils with craft items.

We then had a delicious brunch and watched as the bride opened up all her lovely gifts. It was a perfect way to end the month and I was looking forward to her wedding in October.
