November 15th: I'm thankful for my car. I know it's a material object, but I recently got a "new to me" ride and I am so thankful that I am able to get where I need to be on my own.There is nothing like a sense of security when driving, especially with a 4 month old little girl and Minnesota winter on the horizon. I can get to work or the bus or Target or the grocery store on my own time. I'm very proud. I call it my Mom car. It is a 2007 Dodge Caliber.

These are not pictures of my car specifically, but mine is silver and the below interior picture is the exact same. I love that it is a hatchback, too!

Yay for "new to me" things!

November 13th: I'm thankful for our house. We do not own it, we rent. Someday we hope to own a house somewhere, but we will see. I am just thankful we have a roof over our heads that we can call our "own," especially in Minnesota with winter coming up. I am also thankful that it's in a great location, close to our jobs and other amenities.

November 14th: I'm thankful for our neighbors. We really lucked out and have some great neighbors. They have great kids and love dogs as much as we do and are tolerable of our 4 pups. I also know that if we were ever in a pinch we could go to them with anything. This is my sisters and me with them at an event at the MOA.

What are you thankful for?

Honor Our Military

Let’s honor our military,
The men and women who serve,
Whose dedication to our country
Does not falter, halt or swerve.

Let’s respect them for their courage;
They’re ready to do what’s right
To keep America safe,
So we can sleep better at night.

Let’s support and defend our soldiers,
Whose hardships are brutal and cruel,
Whose discipline we can’t imagine,
Who follow each order and rule.

Here’s to those who choose to be warriors
And their helpers good and true;
They’re fighting for American values;
They’re fighting for me and you.

Thank you Veterans.

This was most appropriate for yesterday (Friday, 11/11 a/k/a Veteran's Day), but I had to dedicate the 11th to my Husband.
