This weekend was pretty laid back. I have to say I'm liking the fall a lot. We just slow down and go at a slower pace, ya know?

Friday night I had Happy Hour/Dinner with Falen & Katie. Afterwards we shopped a bit.

IMG_3701

It's always great to catch up with friends. Sometimes life just gets too dang busy.

My sister, Kate, spent the weekend with us.

Saturday we watched 2 movies.

What to Expect

Photobucket

I liked this one a lot. It's so true how each pregnancy is different. And also how each couple handles it differently. Everyone in it did such a great job.

5 Year Engagement

Photobucket

I liked this movie, although I thought it was a little long. I'm a huge fan of both the main stars in this movie, so that's ultimately what kept me watching.

I also got Kate hooked on the Walking Dead and she ended up watching both season 1 AND 2 before she left on Sunday. The premiere was that night and she really wanted to be all caught up.

Sunday night was Walking Dead premiere night, but we went to game 1 of the Lynx series.

IMG_3872

They made it to the finals and Wayne got tickets to the whole series. They ended up losing game 1 and ultimately lost the championship, but we all still had fun at the game.

Friday, October 19 - Sunday, October 21,2012

This weekend was pretty busy.

Friday night we had the rehearsal and dinner for my cousin Tara. I left work early and attended the rehearsal and then we all went back to the Groom's parents house for dinner, desert, gifts and conversation. It was a fun night and great to get to know Jake's side of the family. AND they live right down the road from us.

Saturday was the big day. I was the photographer for them and I had such a great day. It's always a long day and lot of work as well, but I love weddings and when the couple is close to my heart it makes it all the more worthwhile.

Sunday, we went to Wayne's cousin, Aly's, birthday party. She turned 15. It's always fun to get to see family and hang out and catch up.

Oofta. What a weekend.

Friday, October 26 - Sunday, October 28,2012

This past weekend we had some family come into town for my sister's confirmation. Friday night was spent at home relaxing and recuperating from my cold.

Saturday I went to my parents house for dinner and hung out with them and then my cousin, Nate, and his wife, Kayla showed up with their dog Wicket. He's adorable.

Sunday was my sister's confirmation ceremony.

Afterwards we went back to my parents house. My Mom had an early dinner for everyone with cake and ice cream. Here is Amie with both of her Grandmas.

It was a special day for us all.

Congrats Amie!

I can't believe Halloween is tomorrow. So crazy!

Happy Halloween to everyone!

I'm Loving... my new coach purse from an Instagram Mom that I follow. I have been looking for one like it forever and it just happened that she posted a picture and I replied and it all worked out.

Collage-2

Since becoming a Mom, I have become a fan of the cross-body purse style.

I'm Loving...my new tall boots from Heartbreaker. I got them a couple weeks ago in brown, but now I want them in black, too. SShh, don't tell the Hubs.

IMG_3700

I'm Loving...that I finally got to meet Ms. Mallory Lynn Mahoney. We had dinner with the Mahoney's last week when they were in town for a long weekend. We usually try and get together with them to catch up while they are in town. They live in Kansas. It's always fun and she is just the cutest little peanut!

IMG_3809

I'm Loving...that my Hubs picked out new earrings for Hailey with no help from me.

IMG_3804

He did a great job and is the cutest Dad ever for picking out new ones for her.

I'm Loving...all my E.L.F. cosmetics that I have gotten so far AND that they don't test their products on animals. I will be doing a review soon.

Elf

I'm Loving...my Hubs making breakfast for me in the mornings sometimes.

I'm Loving...this:

IMG_3702

I can't wait for election season to be over.

I'm Loving...that I can find Walden Farms products at Rainbow Foods.

IMG_3772

I recently started to grocery shop their more often because it is right by Hailey's daycare. I don't know if I could always find them their, but it was a relief to know that I don't have to go 2 places if I don't need to.

That's about it for now. Happy Hump Day and have a great week!

All links will take you directly to the product at Birchbox.

I'm pretty happy with my box. The Skin Transformer seems like it could be a replacement for a BB cream. I am kind of disappointed that the sample wasn't bigger or more than just two small pouches. I'm not sure I will be able to get a good feel for how it covers. Same with the lip gel. The sample is so small, I don't even know if a one time use will push me to actually want to buy it. I'm excited to use the DDF cleanser. It's a pretty big bottle, so I feel like I will get enough use out of it. I'm not much of a tea drinker, but I might actually take this tea to work and see how I like it. I'm not a fan of chololate and rasperry together, so I won't be trying this, but I think Hailey will like it. I don't have dark spots on my face where I think I need to use the Radiance Serum or that it would make that much of a difference, but I might just try it anyway and see if I notice a difference. It can't hurt, right? Overall I think I got a pretty good box. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars.

I am dedicating this post today to the Turner family. If you are a part of the blogging (and twitter) community then you know what I am talking about. For those of you who are not, here is a brief update.

Julee Turner blogs at The Turner Channel. Over this last weekend she lost her husband, Matt, in a car accident. Today is his funeral. Not only has she lost her husband, best friend and love of life, but they have a beautiful 10 month old baby girl, Preslee, that she will have to go on raising without him.

Words cannot express how sad I am for Julee. I cannot even imagine. But I know that having Preslee will help her through this more than anything. She was their little angel when she was born and now they have a big angel watching over them.

You can read Julee’s post about Matt HERE.

I ask you to pray for Julee and Preslee as these days, weeks, months and years go on.

 Happy October and Happy Fall!

This weekend was pretty low key. I got a lot done around the house which is always a plus. I think I finished decorating for October.  I have other items for November that I will switch out and then obviously change things up in December.

IMG_3688

I apologize for the crappy pics, but you get the idea.

Collage-1

Saturday morning our furnace did not start. Well, it started, but it wasn't heating. Thanks to my Dad, he came over and cleaned it enough to get it going. I informed the landlord that I think it just needs a professinal cleaning. They are coming today to do that. So happy though that we didn't have to deal with no heat.

Saturday evening we went to a benefit. Wayne hosted the live auction. It was a spaghetti dinner. So yummy and always for a good cause.

IMG_3685-1

Sunday we watched football all day and I did a few more things around the house. It was a great day... the Vikings won, I got to hang out with my 2 loves, Wayne grilled the best steaks ever for dinner, new Revenge. I just love Sundays.

Now onto my randoms for the week. Linking up with Carissa from lowercase letters for Miscellany Monday.

I know I am!

Esquire named Mila Kunis "Sexiest Woman Alive"

If you know me IRL, you know I totally love her and have since That 70's Show!!

reg_634

According to Entertainment Weekly and their Box office update: Taken 2' took in $18.6 million on Friday! Woo-hoo! I did not get a chance to see it yet, but my parents did and they said it was great.

Have you seen it yet? If so, I'm jealous!

I got this new watch last week. I've been looking for a round black one with just enough bling for quite some time now. Do you like?

IMG_3661

My boss got Hailey this book over the weekend at the local Arboretum. Perfect and oh so cute!

IMG_3686

This is one I will be putting in the "keep until she is old enough so she doesn't ruin it" pile. We also picked up her costume. She is going to be a cupcake. No pictures until the actual day though. I don't want to spoil the surprise. All I can say is it's simple and warm for the weather if we decide to go out.

I found this festive cutlery for Hailey at Target for $1 each. You can never go wrong with that.

IMG_3591

I got to bring Hailey's first school project to work to display. It is a chick. I love having a reminder like this in my office where I can see it on a daily basis. I will be doing a more detailed post all about school soon.

IMG_3660

Isn't it cute? I'm defnitley looking forward to more art projects. Thanks for stopping by!

Today I am going to link up with Kay and Allie for Wedded Bliss Wednesday!

Introduce us to your husband!

What's his name? How old? What does he look like?

His name is Wayne and he is 31 years young.

421206_4131411197176_674542421_n

What is your husbands favorite thing to do?

Well, when he does have some downtime, he usually plays video games. He has an Xbox 360 and a Playstation 3. Or he watches some sort of wrestling show (WWE, etc). He does a wrestling radio show besides his normal gig.

What does your husband do Monday-Friday?

His job is not just Monday - Friday. Most of the time he works evenings/nights and weekends, but occasionally things come up during the day, too. He is the overnight jock for 101.3 KDWB in Minneapolis. He is Big D, which is where I got MrsMamaD from and then when we got pregnant we called the bun in the oven Lil D.

Monday - Thursdays he is on from 11pm - 5am and Saturdays he is on from 10am-5pm. He also has appearances around town at different times during the week.

What was the FIRST thing you noticed about your husband when you met?

Wow! That was almost 10 years ago. I think it was his confidence. It wasn't a physical characteristic, it was more of how he handled himself that had me intrigued and wanted to know more.

What is your husband's BEST quality?

Oh, so many to choose from. They have probably changed over the years, but I would have to say right now in our lives, since Hailey was born, it is how he is such a great Father to her and Husband to me.

What is your husband's biggest pet peeve?

I am not very good at cleaning up after myself in the kitchen. He hates it.

How does your husband feel about blogging?

He likes it. I used to scrapbook and still do certain things, and he liked me doing that, so I think he likes this too as it is my online scrapbook of some sort.

What is something you do/can do that makes your husband feel loved?

I think just a simple hug or kiss and an "I Love You" with a look in the eye to know I mean business is all he needs.

Thanks for reading about my Hubs, now grab the button, do your own, and leave me a comment!

ONE:

I got these about a month ago and love them!
People do stare at me when I'm out and about because they are so bright, but I don't care!

IMG_3027

They are Nike.

TWO:

I also got a new make-up bag and some new make-up items from E.L.F. Love it all and will be doing a separate blog post soon about my products.

IMG_3413

Have you tried any E.L.F. products?

THREE:

I wrapped up editing 2 senior photo shoots over the weekend. What a releif.

IMG_3121

FOUR:

Wayne went to a benefit about a month ago for a girl that died. She was super young (only 21 or 22) and her Grandma makes these blankets and gave one to us for Hailey. The whole family is so nice and thoughtful. She has made these blankets for all her grandkids and they all love them so much that they end up bringing them to college even. She said she would only give one to Wayne if he went straight home and wrapped his little girl in it. I thought that was so sweet and it is so perfect for Hailey.

IMG_3106

FIVE:

I finally found a good toy holder for the shower/tub. I just didn't like any of the ones I was finding, but finally found this one at Target of all places.

IMG_3109

SIX:

My Husband's birthday was at the beginning of August and so he needed to get his license renewed.
Here is his before and after:

IMG_3001

So crazy to see how much weight he's lost. Way to go hunny!

SEVEN:

Don't get me wrong, I love my SUV and I've always said I would NEVER get a mini-van or be a mini-van Mom. But I have to say I see the appeal now more than ever and I am questioning if maybe I should have gotten a mini-van instead of my SUV. For instance the 3rd row seating. That is the one thing I think I would love as I cart around my two sisters, Hailey and hopefully at some point at least 1 more kid. I know there are SUV's that have the 3 row seating, but most of them are $1 million and to fill the tank is another $1 million.

EIGHT:

I thought having a kid was supposed to make you a morning person? Wrong. Not in my case. If anything it's made me regress further into NOT being a morning person.

NINE:

Anyone else love this guy and this song? I know he won American Idol, but I didn't watch it. I REALLY like this song. And I guess he's not bad looking either.

TEN:

I have recently changed my Danielson Photography website into a blog now and have been working with a blog designer to re-vamp. So excited. This is the proof she sent me and I will be re-launching it soon.

Proof-01

ELEVEN:

I'm thinking about getting a paper planner again. I don't know 100% why yet. I've been trying to be totally electronic since I got my iPhone last year and I don't really use the calendar at home (mostly because I don't like it). There are a few places that I have seen and looked into...Erin Condren and Paper Coterie.

Any thoughts?

TWELVE:

A couple weeks ago I got this new purse.

Photobucket

I needed a smaller one for concerts and going out and for times I don't feel like lugging around a larger one. Since I got it, I've been trying to downsize and really only use this one. So far so good. It can still be challenging at times to manage all my stuff, but so far it's working out all right. I'm still trying to get used to a smaller bag and only bringing with me the minimal.

THIRTEEN:

I took off my fake nails about a month ago and while I LOVE them when they are on, my nails look like shit crap when they come off. I got a gel manicure which was all fine, but the place I went to only had the OPI gel polish and I have never had good luck with it staying on and not peeling.

IMG_3376

Well, needless to say only a few days later they all peeled off. I plan on going again, but will be going back to my place and getting the CND gel polish.

FOURTEEN:

I got into a mood yesterday and cleaned. Not only did I do my regular cleaning, but I also did the "move all the furniture and clean behind things" cleaning. I get into this winter hibernation mode, where I want to clean and purge. So I did and it felt great. I also got out the halloween decorations. Too early? I don't care

TrickorTreat

FIFTEEN:

Now with the weather getting cooler, I have packed up most of Hailey's too small/summer clothes as well as her sandals. Very bitter-sweet, but that means time for new stuff! Yay! Here are 2 new pairs of shoes.

Gramma Kimmy got these:

Photobucket

And I got these from Target.

Photobucket

I also got her a snow pant/jacket set. It was on sale and too cute. I couldn't pass it up. Love it!!

IMG_3383

Now I just need boots for her and me!

SIXTEEN:

Anybody else love fall tv as much as I do? I'm loving that most of my shows are back...Revenge, New Girl, Parenthood. The list goes on and on! Also, did you see who the next Bachelor is? Sean!

Photobucket

Not sure how I feel about it. I didn't think he had much of a personality, but I felt the same way about Emily and ended up loving her. And I know I will watch it. I always do.

SEVENTEEN:

My cousin asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. I"M SO EXCITED!! She was in my wedding cica 2006.

N and L

And now I will be in hers! She's getting married in April 2013. I went and ordered my dress and picked it up last week. The color is lapas...purplish and it is one shoulder.

 Photobucket

Forgive me for the horrible photos.

And here is a picture of her German Shepard puppy, Duke.

IMG_2983

Ain't he cute?

Wow that was a lot of randomness.
